Stephanie Wesslemann interviews JD Walker on his loss of sight, adventures base jumping, and new projects in development.
Nearly two years in the making, JD struggled long and hard, to find the right mix of people to make this song great, and the video worthy of his friend, the late great Steve Morrell. Steve was a military pilot and a BASE jumper extraordinaire.
Without question, JD credits David as the single most important contributor to the music side of the project. JD refers to David as "The Wizard". David is an incredible musician himself and a master at recording and mixing. It is David who navigates the hurdles of JD's various physical issues, allowing JD the opportunity to continue his passion in music.
In the search for a bass player, JD found Bruce at his airport, and after hearing JD's story he agreed to play bass on a song. Bruce plays the bass, keyboard and introduced the idea, and played the actual hand made Indian gourde flute that appears on the track.
After a long search for the right drummer, JD found Jonas on a collaborative musician site, and reached out to Jonas with the concept. After just listening to a raw, out of time, scratch guitar track, Jonas came up with the amazing drum track you now hear. Jonas is in Austria, and the two have never met.

JD wrote a song called "I wanna know" for an independent feature film that Roman happened to be a producer for. JD and Roman decided to develop The JD Walker Project together. Roman produced Jonathan, The Morrell, and all the digital media content for The JD Walker Project.
